I then used a trick that works sometimes on my other apps. I then unplugged the external monitor and the PDF did not move. I plugged in the external monitor and there was the PDF. ![]() ![]() Well, I was sitting here trying desperately to open a PDF, and it occurred to me that I may have had the last PDF I used on my external monitor, which was the case. Most other apps automatically move all the windows so that they are only on active monitors. The window location does not update when I unplug the external monitor, so if I have a non-modal window on the second monitor, I can't get to it if I unplug the monitor. I work primarily in VFX and there are a couple of my applications that have an issue when I switch between having an external monitor and not having one (I am on a laptop). ![]() It has been driving me crazy because it is annoying to only be able to see the PDF using Preview in OSX. It has been an ongoing issue for a few weeks now, double-click a PDF and Acrobat opens, but there is no PDF visible. Let us know how it goes and share your observation.
